Voters Party International (VPI) celebrates its 5th Foundation Day

Rangia, Kamrup (November 17). Addressing a massive rally on the 5th Foundation Day of Voters Party International, the party chief, Shri Vishwatma said that the VPI is committed to provide participation to every voter in power and national prosperity. He said that unlike the rest of the parties, VPI do not works to make only politicians rich, but works to give everyone a share in the national income created by labor of machines and natural resources. He said that in view of defective electoral system of the country, it is not possible to make SCs, STs, OBCs and tribals chief ministers and prime ministers without implementing reservation in the post of the PM and CM. The author of dozens of books on contemporary political reforms, Shri Vishwatma said that in order to give participation to various social and economic classes in power and prosperity, it is necessary to reform the policy of reservation. He added that CM and PM should be made from different sections of society every year. The same person should not remain the Chief Minister for 5 years continuously. An opportunity to development of the state and country should be given to all communities. Pointing out the floods as a tragedy in Assam, he demanded that all the adult citizens from flood affected areas should be given “flood allowance” of ₹6000 per month till the flood problem is resolved permanently.

Shri Shivakant Gorakhpuri, the Secretary-General of VPI said that no broker party-led governments can enact ‘votership law’ by taxing the trillionaires. He said the Prime Minister is not able to dare to call Ambani “rich”, how will he enact a votership law? He said the Prime Minister withdrew the corporate tax. The prices are all time high due to imposing all taxes on general public. This shows that the Prime Minister has succumbed to the trillionaires. The Handful trillionaires are looting country and the ruling governments are watching as mute spectators.

All India President of VPI and Advocate of Guwahati High Court Smt. Babita Sharma Goyal said VPI will not allow India to become an anti-science, fanatic, superstitious, violent and terrorist nation. He said that some parties want to create hatred and rioting in two communities to take votes and capture power. She said that VPI will not allow their conspiracy to succeed.

Speaking as the guest of at the rally, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court, Shri Mahmood Pracha said that protecting the Constitution, secularism, socialism, federal structure and human rights is our top priority. He said that we will not tolerate those who work against these values of the Constitution. He said that the legal action will be taken against them in competent forums.

Shri Lalit Pegu, State President, VPI said, the ruling party is looting the people by selling diesel petrol for ₹100 and selling mustard oil in ₹200 and filling the coffers of the trillionaires. He said the ruling party wants to create riots between Bengali and Assamese speakers. The state president of the Voters Party said the VPI will not tolerate the administrative atrocities on Muslims and will support Muslims in every way possible.

Speaking at the rally, Shri Tarni Basumatari, State President, Mission for Global Change said that after the formation of BTR, the plight of the people of the region has increased even more. There is a lot of disappointment and there is a lot of resentment among the people. He added that the promises made in the elections were not fulfilled.

The rally was also addressed by leaders like Ranjay Basumatari, Sunil Sarkar, Mahendra Oraon, Fazlul Rahman and Hamd Ali, etc. The rally was attended by party workers from districts like Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Vishwanath, Udalguri, Darang, Baksa, Nalbari, Nagaon, Guwahati, Kamrup, Goalpara, Dhubri, Chirang, Kokrajhar, and Bongaigaon etc.
