Voters Party International
Assumptions of Coalition
1. Due to the Bharatiya Janata Party, there is a serious threat to the Constitution of the country, democracy, farmers, poor, youth, unemployed, Dalit, backward and minority communities.
2. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, it will be possible to remove the BJP from power only if only one candidate of the entire opposition contests in front of the BJP candidate in all the Lok Sabha constituencies and the supporters of all parties vote for the opposition's common candidate against the BJP. Both these goals are not possible to achieve by the traditional superficial alliance, as seen in the results of the SP-BSP and SP-Congress alliance. For this, it is necessary to have an empowered central agency of all parties, whose decision should be obliged by the heads of all parties and the same is wanted by the workers of all parties.
3. A cadre-based party like the BJP can only be countered by any other cadre-based party. If it is not possible to form a party by combining the anti assembly parties with the same enemy, then instead of forming a coalition of party chiefs alone, a systeBJP parties; the alliance should be formed on the written constitution, so that alliance amongst the cadres of parties can also be possible and polarization of votes could take place.
4. To remove the BJP from power, the cooperation of organizations and individuals suffering from BJP rule across the country is necessary. This goal is possible only when the leader of the opposition is elected through a democratic process. The election of the leader of the opposition through a democratic process is possible only when an alliance of all opposition parties and organizations is sustainable, transparent and democratic. This is possible only when this alliance works on a written constitution, rules and written code of conduct.
5. The coalition should work on a written constitution-
5.1 So that the alliance could be protected from breaking apart due to disputes,
5.2 So that the alliance can be run in a democratic and transparent manner.
5.3 So that the alliance can be prevented from going on the path of betrayal with the people.
5.4 So that alliance of cadre of parties at the state level, mandal level, district level and block level could become possible; rather than the alliance of only top leaders.
5.5 So that in the event of an attack on the elected leader of the opposition,.
5.6 So that it could become possible immediately to produce a new leader of the opposition through the constitutional process of the coalition;
5.7 So that the coalition government if formed in 2024, can be sustainable and durable.
6. In the process of forming the alliance, intellectuals, social workers, leaders of farmer, trade unions, laborers, journalists, social organizations and political parties etc. from all over the country should be given an opportunity to participate and cooperate in the decision-making process of the alliance.
7. To avoid corporate hijacking, coalition spending should be managed as much as possible by members of the Constituent Assembly of the Coalition and by public grants.
